CONCERTS promoted by Dean Archer, a heavy metal fan are helping to put Hatfield back on the rock map.
June’s triumphant opening show, starring local outfit Sonic Scream, Death Valley Knights and headliners Neuronspoiler.
Two-piece Sonic Scream, comprising Hatfield vocalist/guitarist Sam Sergeant and drummer Terry Knight from Welwyn Garden City, ripped through a 30-minute set that delighted the audience.

Next up were Death Valley Knights, fronted by Texan Jake Thorsen on guitar, alongside Nikhil Talwar on guitar, Elliot Hall (bass) and Stephen Brill (drums).
Their 45-minute set featured songs Shut Up And Drink, Before The End and DVK, before playing an encore of Motörhead’s Iron Fist, followed by a second helping of DVK.
Neuronspoiler rounded off the night with an hour of metal in the vein of Iron Maiden meets Judas Priest.
Guitarists Dave Pounder and Dave del Cid shredded their way through tracks Dying Worlds, Lost Brothers and Through Hell We March, running and jumping around the stage, along with bassist Erick Tekilla.
Drummer Tim Barclay supplied the beat, with Santa Cruz-born JR Vox on vocals.
